Healthy Earth Development Organization, HEDO is a youth- and women-led grassroots nonprofit working at the intersection of public health, gender justice, and climate resilience. We collaborate with communities across Pakistan and beyond to improve SRHR, nutrition, mental health, and environmental protection. Together, we build equity, shift power, and drive change where it’s needed most.
A world where health, dignity, and justice are accessible to all, and where people, communities, and biodiversity flourish in harmony with the planet.
At Healthy Earth Development Organization (HEDO), our mission is rooted in justice, care,
and transformative action. As a youth- and women-led grassroots movement, we work in close partnership with communities, especially women, girls, and marginalized populations, to build a future where dignity, health, and climate resilience are recognized as fundamental rights, not privileges. From the riverbanks of Balochistan to grassroots communities in Sindh, our work is grounded in the realities of those most affected by inequality. We break down barriers, challenge stigma, and develop sustainable, community-driven solutions. Our work goes beyond program delivery, it is about shifting power, sparking dialogue, and standing in solidarity
with people and the planet.
We believe everyone deserves fair access to health, rights, and opportunities, especially those historically marginalized. We prioritize reaching underserved communities and dismantling the structural barriers that limit their potential.
We act with honesty, transparency, and accountability. Whether we are delivering services, managing resources, or engaging with communities, we uphold trust and ethical responsibility in all we do.
Our work is rooted in long-term impact, not quick fixes. We promote environmental protection, climate resilience, and sustainable health systems that serve current and future generations.
We center the leadership and lived experiences of the people we serve. Our approach is participatory and grassroots, because the best solutions come from within communities, not imposed from above.
We recognize that oppression is interconnected. Our programs are designed to address the overlapping impacts of gender, poverty, climate, health, and systemic injustice, especially as they affect women, girls, youth, and marginalized groups.
